St Michael's is closed from 1pm on Thursdays.

Consultations

Please notify us if you are unable to keep your appointment so that it can be allocated to another patient.

Mondays to Fridays
Surgeries are held regularly by appointment. You may see any of the doctors but if possible we advise you to see the same doctor, who will know about you. Please notify us if you are unable to keep your appointment so that it can be allocated to another patient. Please make a separate appointment for each person who needs to see the doctor or nurse. If you know that your problem will take some time to sort out please ask the receptionist for a double appointment.

The doctors hold surgeries at St Michael’s and The Beehive on a rota system. Please ask the receptionist for details.

Please notify us if you are unable to keep an appointment so that it can be allocated to another patient.  Due to the increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend without informing the surgery it has become necessary to implement the following policy.

Did Not Attend Policy
If a patient misses an appointment twice then they will be sent a letter and a copy of the notice explaining the policy. If they miss a further appointment a review of the case will be done by the Practice Manager and the Partners to establish whether there are any specific reasons (social or clinical) why the patient should not be removed, with an outcome of either:

  1. The patient will be invited in to meet with the Practice Manager to explain any difficulties they may have with keeping appointments.
  2. They will be sent a letter informing them that in accordance with the practice policy, it has now been requested for them to be removed as a patient from the practice and they should find an alternative doctor.

Urgent Cases

Urgent cases will always be seen on the same day. If your problem is not urgent you will be offered the first available appointment. If you arrive without an appointment you may have to wait until the end of surgery to be seen.

Telephone Consultation/Advice

Telephone consultations or advice is available between 11am and midday and 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

We may have to call you back if the doctor is still seeing patients.

Practice Nurse clinics

The following clinics are held Monday – Friday by appointment at both surgeries:

  • Immunisations
  • Removal of stitches
  • Travel advice
  • Blood test (arranged by the doctor)
