Clinic
We encourage all women aged
16 and over to attend for
general health advice, blood
pressure, urine checks and
regular cervical smears.
- Well-Man
Clinic
All men aged 16 and over are
encouraged to attend this clinic
for general health advice, blood
pressure and urine checks.
- Weight
Reduction Clinic
For dietary advice, healthy
slimming and regular weight
checks.
- Stop
Smoking Clinic
For useful tips, help and
support in giving up this
unhealthy habit. Weekly clinics
are held at both surgeries. Ask
at Reception for details.
- Coronary
Prevention and Assessment
Clinic/Blood Pressure Clinic
For advice on preventing
heart disease.
- Blood
Pressure Clinic
Patients who are on
medication to reduce their blood
pressure are encouraged to
attend every six months for a
check-up.

Respiratory and COPD Clinic
Patients with asthma and
COPD are encouraged to attend
for annual checks and medication
reviews.
- Diabetic
Clinic
Diabetic patients are
invited to attend 6 monthly for
a check up.
- Healthy
Heart Clinic
Patients with existing heart
disease are invited for an
annual review.
- Leg Ulcer
Clinic
For the assessment and
management of chronic leg
ulcers.

Health visitors are trained in
preventative medicine and health
promotion. They offer advice,
information and support about many
health and social issues. A health
visitor can visit you in your own
home by appointment, or in one of
the local child health clinics or at
the surgery where no appointment is
necessary.

Health Nurse Adviser |
A weekly
clinic for women on the
contraceptive pill or injection and
for anyone wanting advice on
contraception or safer sex. Health
advice to couples planning to start
a family is available.
