  • Live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) also known as Fluenz. This is a nasal spray and is for all patients aged 2 years old to less than 18 years of age. We will be vaccinating child aged 2 and 3, with 4-9 year olds being vaccinated in school. Those aged 10-17 will only be vaccinated if in an ‘at risk’ category i.e. suffering from asthma.
  • Quadravalent vaccine (QIV) or QUAD. This is for those children in an at risk category under the age of 2 and all adults from 18 to less than 65 years of age who are at increased risk from flu because of a long term health condition.
  • Adjuvanted trivalent vaccine (aTIV) or TRI. This is for all patients aged 65 and over. It is the most effective vaccine available for this age group.
