Patients can be visited at home if illness or immobility prevents attendance at the surgery. Please request visits before 11.00am. The GP will triage these and you may be visited by a paramedic from the BEMS Home Visiting Service (BHVS). Only emergency visits should be requested after 11.00am. Please give the receptionist brief details of the reasons for a home visit. Due to other commitments we cannot always guarantee a particular doctor will visit.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.
You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
