To ensure we support our practice population we also provide these specialist clinics and services.

Cervical Smears

Women are advised to have a cervical smear at least every 3 years from age 25 to 49 years and 5 years aged 50-64. Please make an appointment with a Practice Nurse or in the Women’s Health Clinic.

Children’s Immunisations

St. Michael’s Surgery: Tuesday 2.30pm to 3.30pm
The Beehive Surgery: Wednesday 11:20am – 12:15pm

These are important to prevent serious illnesses. Appointments will be sent out direct from Child Health Dept. However if you are unable to attend your appointment you are welcome to bring your child to clinic the following week or check in to a practice nurses clinic.For more information on children’s immunisations and the schedule visit the NHS Immunisation website.

Minor Surgery

A variety of minor operations, joint and soft tissue injections are performed by the doctors. Please consult your GP for further information.

Influenza and Pneumonia Vaccinations

Are available in September/October/November. Information regarding influenza/pneumonia vaccination clinics will be posted in the waiting room and on the website in the Autumn. Patients who are over 65 or who suffer from asthma, diabetes, heart disease or chronic ill health are strongly advised to be vaccinated. Carer’s of people with long term disability or chronic illness are also entitled to vaccination.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

One to one guided self-help sessions are run weekly at St Michael’s Surgery. CBT is beneficial for people suffering from mild to moderate anxiety or depression. Referral for CBT is via GP/HV/Practice Nurses.
